Baboró: Key to providing access to quality creative activity for children to Galway and beyond
Environment: Key to life, from cars to buildings, trees to oceans, we are interdependent
Arts: Key to making sense of the world around us, and developing the whole person
Science: Key to understanding life, and interacting with our world
Technology: Keys to research and communication
These Five Keys formed a unique platform for Baboró to work with Scientists and Artists, Children and Teachers. We explored the other Four Keys with 8 Scientists, 8 Artists, 8 Teachers and over 200 Children over 10 weeks in Spring 2012, by hosting 40 workshops in Science and the Arts.
This is BEAST! Phase 2 The Exhibition and the result of the pilot engagement, carried out with key support from NUI Galway, the Martin Ryan Instititute and Dublin City of Science 2012. Come and explore an exhibition that demonstrates the power of Science and the Arts, the creative keys to our future. Explore Energy Harvesting, experiment with Seaweed, and enjoy hands on Workshops with Artists and Scientists.
BEAST! demonstrates something new and innovative that may change the way Science, Art and IT are taught - through responsible citizenship and arts engagement.
