Annual ISTA Senior Science Quiz
The Irish Science Teachers’ Association (ISTA)
The ISTA is the professional representative body for science teachers in Ireland. This year we are celebrating the 21st Annual ISTA Senior Science Quiz Final in Trinity College on Saturday 24th November. The Regional Finals will be held nationwide on Thursday 15th November during Science Week. This is an opportunity to bring together the top Leaving Certificate science students in Ireland, to participate in a friendly table quiz, where many of the questions are related to current citizen science issues, and designed to link what is learnt at school with real life applications.
The top teams from all around the country will be invited to Trinity College, where Ms Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin will act as quizmaster. The winners will receive generous cash prizes sponsored by PharmaChemical Ireland.
There will also spot prizes and this year they will include copies of “A Neutron walks into a Bar”, where all the royalties go to Cystic Fibrosis Research.
