Programme of Events

The Festival will bring you on an Irish Animation Trail throughout 3 cinemas at IFI to raise young people’s awareness of the process of animation itself, encouraging them to ask questions such as: How is it done? Who are the animators? What technology do they use? The trail will offer the young participants a discovery map to Irish animation which they can access at different points over the weekend. This trail will be complemented by animation feature films, including the new title Moon Man from Schesch Film Production & Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon, and workshops.

Sci-fi hands-on workshops: participants will explore sci-fi and create their own pop-ups around sci-fi scenes.

Sci-fi gadgets: model making of sci-fi gadgets: How do they work? What do they do? Creating own gadgets.
