To celebrate Dublin’s role as City of Science in 2012, which includes hosting the 2012 Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF), the Irish Museum of Modern Art has convened this seminar to explore the subject of collaboration between the arts and sciences from a range of perspectives focusing in particular on the relationship between artists and scientists. This seminar takes place in IMMA’s temporary gallery spaces in the National Concert Hall, Earlsfort Terrace. The context of the seminar is the exhibition Time out of Mind: Works from the IMMA Collection which focuses on artists’ ideas about time, memory, space and perception.
The Art + Science seminar takes place on Tuesday 10 July 2012 at 5.30pm and features keynote speaker, Siân Ede, writer and former Deputy Director, Gulbenkian Foundation; Dorothy Cross, Artist; Tom Cross, Zoologist; Michael John Gorman, Director, Science Gallery, Dublin; Marie Redmond, Lecturer, Trinity College Dublin (TCD); Mick Wilson Dean of GradCAM (Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media)
