StarSound Sounds from the Universe is an audio visual installation on data from the 32m radio telescope at National Space Centre. Experiencing this walkable installation will immerse you in the world of astronomy and astrophysics, allowing you to interact with the astronomical instruments of CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory.
The visual output is an immersive representation of a map of the stars surrounding earth. The user points on a certain position on the map and through that, adjusts the direction of the telescopes, which then provide an acoustic representation of the live data received from that particular position allowing you to listen to the sounds of the Universe.
