Today’s Women In Science

2.30pm Saturday 10th March

A panel of women scientists discuss their work and experiences working in the science community in Ireland. Participants will come from a variety of scientific backgrounds and professions.

Chaired by Dr. Fiona Bligh, who is the programme manager with Centre for Women in Science & Engineering Research (WiSER)

Guests are:

  • Professor Máire Cassidy, State Pathologist
  • Professor Tia E Keyes is a lecturer in the School of Chemical Sciences, DCU
  • Anne Graham, the National Transport Authority’s Director of Public Transport and former Engineer with Dublin City Council
  • Anne MacLellan, has a background in biomedics and is a writer on the history of science. Her PhD thesis is ‘That preventable and curable disease”: Dr Dorothy Price and the eradication of tuberculosis in Ireland 1930-1960’.
  • Eleanor Holmes, graduated in 2011 in Theoretical Physics from TCD. Eleanor is pursuing a PhD in Nano electronics in TCD.
