Part of the hugely popular Maker Faire family, Dublin Mini Maker Faire is an independent day-long community event where all kinds of “makers” get together to showcase their work. Science Gallery will be host to Dublin’s first ever Mini Maker Faire.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors, and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds. With over 40 exhibiting makers and thousands expected to attend the event. It will incorporate stalls, talks, workshops, performances and more. Dublin Mini Maker Faire will be an opportunity for makers to interact with each other, to share ideas, and to inspire future makers by showing examples of their work, projects, crafts, inventions, products and hacks in a vibrant fair-style event.

UPDATE:

Over 5,000 people visited this free-to-attend, community-driven event, which featured 31 maker booths and events that included Mary FitzGerald of How Do You Do? fame, and Jane Ni Dhulchaointigh, the creator of Sugru. Dublin Mini Maker Faire will take place again on July 28th, 2013.
