Brought to you by the CuriousCity programme of science and art events!

The Apollo 11 Moon Landing as you have never experienced it before: a play of light, images and live music in the atmospheric courtyard of CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory.

Moon, as part of the Cork Midsummer Festival, features a series of film loops, created by Spanish video artist Esperanza Collado from footage originally distributed by NASA to schools, universities and news agencies in 1969/1970, screened through multiple projectors and accompanied by an evocative soundtrack performed live by the Buzz Aldrin Allstars.

The Buzz Aldrin Allstars are a collection of likeminded musicians looking to keep the kraut rock tradition alive. They feature members from some of Dublin’s finest bands: Si Schroeder, 3epkano, Halfset, Strands and Beautiful Unit
