Improbable Frequency
Founded in 1984, Rough Magic is one of Ireland’s leading theatre companies. Rough Magic will present the popular musical “Improbable Frequency” at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin from 13th to 24th March. Set in Ireland in 1941 during The Second World War, Tristram Faraday, a British code-breaker is sent to Dublin to investigate mysterious radio messages and encounters Flann O’Brien (Myles na Gopaleen), John Betjeman and Dublin-based Nobel physicist Erwin Schrödinger. This unlikely trio lead him to their secret invention to counteract the fascist threat – the Probability Adjustment Tank or PAT.
In July, to coincide with the conference, Rough Magic will also present a semi-staged performance of “Improbable Frequency” along with a reading of “Copenhagen” by Michael Frayn.
