Founded in 1984, Rough Magic is one of Ireland’s leading theatre companies. Rough Magic will present the popular musical “Improbable Frequency” at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin from 13^th to 24^th March. Set in Ireland in 1941 during The Second World War, Tristram Faraday, a British code-breaker is sent to Dublin to investigate mysterious radio messages and encounters Flann O’Brien (Myles na Gopaleen), John Betjeman and Dublin-based Nobel physicist Erwin Schrödinger. This unlikely trio lead him to their secret invention to counteract the fascist threat – the Probability Adjustment Tank or PAT.

In July, to coincide with the conference, Rough Magic will also present a semi-staged performance of “Improbable Frequency” along with a reading of “Copenhagen” by Michael Frayn.
