Programme of Events

Throughout 2012, The Irish Film Institute will mark the Dublin City of Science 2012 celebrations with a series of events that will provide an opportunity for active public engagement with science and related themes through film. Through a specially curated film screening programme, comprising documentaries, features and archive footage, and talks by guest speakers, we will offer a framework for critical engagement that will facilitate lively discussion, expert input and social interaction within a key cultural venue. Each screening will take a particular focus e.g. the environment, knowledge, medical science and of course the science and technology of film and moving image itself. These events will take place at quarterly intervals at the IFI Temple Bar, throughout the year.
